About Michael

My wife Leisa and I have spent 48 years building our life on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley. Together we've raised 7 children and now celebrate 18 grandchildren. This community isn't where I'm from — it's who I am. We've seen this valley grow, and we've grown with it.

For 28 years, I owned and operated several successful small businesses right here in West Valley City. I know firsthand what it takes to create jobs, balance a budget, and serve our neighbors. That experience taught me how to find real solutions, not just play political games. I understand the challenges families and small businesses face every day, from rising costs to making ends meet.

Leisa and I are in our 10th year volunteering on the West Valley City Westfest Committee, and I currently serve my 5th year on the Professional Standards Review Board — providing citizen oversight of the West Valley City Police Department. I believe in common-sense accountability, strong community safety, and giving back to the place we call home.

Utah politics is starting to look a lot like Washington, D.C. When politicians attack our justice system and chip away at the fundamental protections that keep our government fair and accountable to every Utahn, it threatens the very foundations of our way of life. Our community deserves someone who will stand up for our rights and protect our future. I'm running to be that voice, because our courts matter, our Constitution matters, and the families of this district matter
